Greenpeace UK

Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs action.

Greenpeace are an independent non-profit global campaigning organisation that uses non-violent, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems and their causes. We research solutions and alternatives to help provide a path for a green and peaceful future.

Greenpeace’s independence is crucial to their work which is why they will never accept money from companies or political organisations. It is also why they need the support of individuals to continue their work protecting and preserving the worlds environment.

PROTECTED: Biggest chunk of ocean yet!
The UK has created the world’s largest marine reserve, covering some quarter of a million square miles of ocean around the Chagos Archipelago -- one of the most pristine and biologically diverse coral ecosystems on the planet. Samsung still uses PVC and brominated flame retardants (BFRs) in all its products, except in a few models of mobile phone, MP3 players and some components, despite many promises to clean up. That's why our activists stuck huge stickers on the Korean electronic giant's Benelux headquarters in Brussels on Wednesday stating "Samsung = broken promises".
